Coach “Doug” gone, but not forgotten!

Douglas L. Mitchem Sr.  passed away April 25, 2009.

Coach Doug coached at every level of football, from little league to College and most recent, head coach for Warriors.

Those who knew him know his love and passion for the game. He and his son “little Doug” shared that love for the game together, Doug Jr. was the league’s most outstanding receiver and he and his dad combined to win two state titles in the last two years.

Coach Doug will be missed next season. Its hard to imagine him not being apart of this league, not walking up and down the sidelines, getting on the Refs, yelling instruction to the players.

No one will miss him more than his wife Phyllis, his sons, James, Douglas Jr., and Duriel and a son Roman, entrusted to his care; daughter Rykihia Moore; brothers, Herbert and Donnell; sisters, Irma J. Redmond, Sara J. Baker & Patricia Shorter; and his 4 grand-children.
